our story

ZORK was founded in 2002 in Adelaide, South Australia, which is central to Australia’s premier wine producing regions and home to world leading wine research and education.

In 2005, after more than 3 years of research and development, commercial scale manufacture of STL commenced and in the following year the closure was the recipient of the gold award at the Australian Packaging awards.

ZORK entered the US Market in 2006 with Winery of the Year Don Sebastiani & Sons.  Growing international sales lead to global distribution in major wine markets and manufacturing and licensee agreements were signed in North America with Portola Packaging and in Europe with Oliver Ogar  In-country manufacturing commenced in 2007.

In 2008 ZORK expanded its distribution network in the United States and over 10 millions closures were sold globally. A new sparkling closure was developed with commercial release commencing in January 2010. 

ZORK continues to grow sales through a global network of licensees and distributors who work with the industry to meet market needs.
